You will also hear about key experiences in her life that shaped her cultural identity and her relationship with her own religion and culture. Michelle discusses how kids deal with being different or what causes them to act out when seeing someone who is different or doing something they don’t understand. She shares insight into how we can cultivate kindness and better equip children to be appreciative of cultural differences.

Yoga is for everybody.
In this episode, we welcome Beverly Davis-Baird, a retired elementary teacher and current yoga therapist. She is the founder and owner of Wisdom Tree Yoga in Shrewsbury New Jersey. 
“My goal is always to educate people. That’s who I am at heart. Even when I teach groups, I teach a class called Yoga for Arthritis and Chronic Pain. I’m always trying to educate my students about a particular topic, right now I’m teaching about flexibility and mobility and why those are important, and how we can use our yoga practice not only to bring that to our bodies but to our minds, spirits, to our emotions, to have that ability to adapt to situations.”
Beverly believes that yoga can be for everyone; for all ability levels and ages. She views yoga as more than just a physical pose or exercise, it is about also about connection, therapy, and healing.

More than a language.
Joining us this week is Jenna Vislisel. Jenna is a bilingual educator, blogger, and mom! She is passionate about bringing languages and bi-literacy to the classroom. She believes that language is more than just communication, it encompasses culture, heritage, and identity as well. Diversity should be celebrated in the classroom and students encouraged to share their experiences and unique identities. 
Jenna is currently a stay-at-home mom, sharing her passion for bilingualism on her blog Bilingual Balance. Parents and teachers can access her resources like printable activities, tips, and strategies for teaching and practicing languages. Jenna focuses on Spanish, but her methods can be useful for general language learning.
